Senior Software Engineer
Description: A Senior Software Engineer possesses mid to high level knowledge and experience in software development and information security and/or relevant information technology best practices and standards with concentration on programming web applications on Unix platforms.
Qualifications:
3-5 years experience in Software Development or related fields
Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to fast paced environments
Ability to perform project tasks with little or no supervision.
Ability to contribute a significant piece of a project deliverable.
Ability to create detailed, professional documentation
Excellent written and verbal communications.
Skills & Knowledge:
Deep technical problem / resolution skills
Understanding of OSI model and TCP/IP architecture
Web application development experience
Experience in HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX
Experience in one of the following operating systems: Solaris, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, Ubuntu
Experience in at least one of the following languages: Java (J2EE), Python (on Django or web2py), Ruby (on Rails)
Experience in at least one of the following DBMS: MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite
